The keynote speakers at the 2022 International Social and Behavior Change Communication Summit have been announced and they reflect the diversity of the field of SBCC – and the ways to approach the world’s most pressing health and development issues.

From indigenous rights activists to people using artificial intelligence to influence behaviors for good, the breadth of experience of the keynote speakers mirrors the breadth of topics being covered at the Summit, from climate crisis to reproductive and sexual health to the rights of women and girls.

Speakers include:

• Mohammed Ahmed, executive director of Adeela for culture and arts, a non-profit focusing on peace, social justice, and human rights issues in Sudan
• Jamie Arkin, director of partnerships & development at AIfluence, which bills itself as Africa’s first AI-driven end to end influencer marketing platform.
• Sania Ashraf, senior research scientist at Rare’s Center for Behavior & the Environment, which leverages behavioral insights and design thinking approaches to tackle some of the most challenging environmental issues.
• Anurag Banerjee, CEO and co-founder of Quilt.AI, a technology firm aimed at increasing understanding and empathy between organizations and institutions and the billions of people who live on the planet.
• Avexnim Cojti (Maya K’iche’), director of Programs at Cultural Survival,a non-profit that advocates for Indigenous Peoples’ rights and supports Indigenous communities’ self-determination.
• Eliana Elias, co-founder of Minga Peru, where she helped create an innovative communication methodology to produce educational radio programs, empower indigenous women, and partner with grassroots organizations, local governments and schools to create social change in the rural communities of the Peruvian Amazon.
• Chris Mahony, CEO and co-founder of Peloria, which employs social science-informed artificial intelligence methods that predict and explain social phenomena.
• Memory Zonde-Kachambwa, executive director at the African Women’s Development and Communication Network (known as FEMNET). women and girls’ rights regionally and globally.
