Martha Ena Mérida is the national executive director of PROSALUD, a leading non-profit organization focused on improving health outcomes across Bolivia. With more than 35 years of experience in public health, nutrition, and health services management, she has worked extensively with public health agencies and NGOs throughout Latin America, including in Bolivia, Paraguay, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.
Martha has held several leadership roles at PROSALUD, including serving as social marketing manager for a decade, where she helped advance innovative approaches to expanding access to health services. For the past seven years, she has led the organization as executive director, guiding its strategic vision and strengthening its impact in communities across the country.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and a master’s degree in public health and health services administration, along with additional training in qualitative research, leadership, marketing, and health services management. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to improving health equity and delivering sustainable, community-centered solutions.
Martha is married, with three children and five granddaughters.
