Nontokozo Madonsela is a seasoned marketing executive with 25 years of experience turning bold ideas into movements that shift behavior, build brands, and drive meaningful change. Guided by her purpose, to be a catalyst for growth and transformative change, she has led high-impact marketing strategies across Momentum Group, Standard Bank, Hollard Insurance, South African Breweries, Coca-Cola, and British American Tobacco.
Having worked across financial services and fast-moving consumer goods, Nontokozo understands that the most powerful brands don’t just sell: they shift narratives, change norms, and open doors for the people too often left behind. This belief sits at the core of everything she builds.
At Momentum Group, she was the driving force behind #SheOwnsHerSuccess — a bold, narrative-shifting platform inspiring women to claim power, wealth, and identity on their own terms. In a country where women remain disproportionately excluded from financial systems and wealth creation, this campaign did more than generate awareness. The 2025 rollout reached 6.2 million South Africans and sparked a national conversation about women, money, and agency, turning a brand platform into a movement for financial inclusion and dignity.
Her commitment to inclusion extends into youth development. Through the Momentum Group Foundation, she champions initiatives that have trained more than 2,200 young people since 2018, with 1,540 placed into permanent employment and 84 entrepreneurs supported to scale — translating brand purpose into measurable social outcomes.
Nontokozo represents a powerful and necessary private sector voice in behavioral change. Her work makes the case that shifting financial behaviors, building economic resilience, and expanding inclusion are not side effects of good marketing — they are the mission. Trusted brands, she believes, have both the reach and the responsibility to change lives.
Having attended the SBCC Summit in Morocco, she brings direct familiarity with the global community and a clear understanding of its urgency. Ranked in the Top 10 South African Marketers in 2025, and a keynote speaker at DigiMarCon and London’s Indie Forum, her influence spans platforms and borders.
Her mantra — “Do It Afraid” — says it all.
