Montes de María Línea 21 Collective Communications Corporation
Soraya Bayuelo Castellar (El Carmen de Bolívar), Colombia. She is a social communicator-journalist, cultural manager, researcher, and audiovisual producer with over 35 years of experience in community cinema, transformative communication, memory, and social museology in the Colombian Caribbean.
She is the Founder and General Coordinator of the Montes de María Line 21 Collective Communications Corporation (CCCMMaL21), an organization recognized with the National Peace Prize (2003), the Semana-Petrobras National Journalism Prize (2008), and the Alejandro Ángel Escobar National Prize, Solidarity Category (2020).
She currently directs the Montes de María Audiovisual Festival (FAMMA). She is a member of the Montes de María Regional Roundtable of Women Leaders and Defenders, along with 109 other women from the region. She is a member of the Municipal Council of Culture of El Carmen de Bolívar, the National Council of Citizen and Community Media, and a delegate to the National Council of Culture of Colombia (2025–2027), where she promotes public policies that recognize communication as a fundamental human right. Together with the Montes de María Line 21 Collective, she is part of the Communication for Life Network.
