What kinds of wildlife might participants see?

Participants may observe a wide variety of flora and fauna. The trail is known as an excellent birdwatching site, with species such as trogons, tanagers, toucans, flycatchers, and woodcreepers. Mammals that may be seen include agoutis, peccaries, and jaguarundis, as well as primates such as howler monkeys, tamarins, and white-faced capuchins.
